The City Council of Ibiza is finalist in the award for the geocoded Platform for Building Evaluation Reports, developed with the collaboration of Nexus Geographics, in the category "Best Project of Digital Transformation / Electronic Administration".

It is a cloud platform that solves the processing of the Building Evaluation Reports; it allows you to start inspection processes, manage the building database and record your status changes, with tables and an interactive map. It has mechanisms for allocating building records to municipal technicians, with alerts and notifications by e-mail. Through interoperable APIs, the tool is integrated with the two cloud platforms used in the city; the file manager GESTIONA from esPublico and the municipal Geographic Information System ENMAPA.

The National Congress of Innovation and Public Services (CNIS) will be held next 22 and 23 February in Madrid, the main meeting at state level on e-government, which will bring together more than 1.000 elected officials and specialized technicians from Public Administrations. With more than 200 papers that will deal with the management of digital transformation and how to put it to the service of citizens, companies and administrations. Topics such as adaptation to new regulations, transparency, simplification and reformation of administrations, governance, Smart Cities, the collaboration between public - private and public enterprises, among other topics.

The awards of this congress recognize innovative experiences and solutions realized by administrations, which add value to public services and facilitate decision-making and planning for future actions by other administrations.

Nexus Geographics will participate actively in the Congress and will present the paper "GIS specialized in Town Councils with cartography directly integrated with databases", with the collaboration of Matilde Manzano, of the City council of Ibiza.

The App of Abertis “Autopistas en Ruta”, developed with the collaboration of Nexus Geographics, has won the ITS award granted by the Forum of New Technologies in Transport.

Each year, ITS Awards recognizes the best projects related to new technologies and intelligent transport systems. The APP “Autopistas en Ruta” was awarded in the category of Motorways, with the award for the best technology solution to facilitate safe and comfortable mobility. This year´s edition (the 6^th) was held as a closing ceremony of the XVI Spanish Congress about Intelligent Transport Systems, from May 20^th.

This APP is designed to make driving more comfortable, faster and secure. It applies the latest innovations in geolocation technology to automatically detect when the vehicle enters a highway or if you have an emergency situation. If the App detects a sudden stop, an automatic emergency call is activated. In case the driver doesn´t answer, it locates the vehicle and connects in real-time with operation centers of Abertis, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In case of emergency, highway assistance protocols are directly carried out, accelerating the performance of emergency services. This system is similar to eCall proposed by the European Union, which will be mandatory in vehicles by the year 2018.

The application is an authentic custom co-pilot: it reports of the real time traffic, both of Abertis and of official information sources (DGT, Autonomous government of Catalonia of Catalonia -Generalitat-, Basque Government), and private sources (TomTom). In addition, it allows to create personalized alerts of traffic (concrete days and hours), to calculate routes or to inform about radars, limits of speed, service areas, nearest gas stations, prices of fuels, etc. The application is free and this available for Android and iOS.

Abertis Autopistas is the first world operator of highways by number of kilometres managed. It operates in 12 Europe's countries and America, and account with an insole of 17.000 workers.

Nexus Geographics is the winner of the "Future company" prize during the 7th call of the “Fem Indústria” contest. The ceremony was held on the 31^th of May in the Pompeu Fabra Auditorium of the College of Industrial Engineers´ headquarters in Barcelona, Catalonia.

The prize is announced by the official College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia, Enginova, la Salle Technova Barcelona, Leitat Technological Center and Fundación TecnoCampus. In the 7 editions that have been celebrated, more than 170 business projects have participated and the winners include companies such as Byhours.com and Forcemanager.com.

Routing Reparto is a cloud based application to plan and optimize business routes, visit more clients and lower costs. The platform includes an App for the drivers to carry out his route with geocoded client visits. The office is provided with an online application to plan new routes and monitor them in real time. From a more practical than theoretical perspective, this volume invites a strategic reflection of business activities. This work is the result of many hours of conversations, transcription and reordering with about thirty Catalan SMEs who are carrying out exporting activities. It is presented as a very useful tool to obtain a fairly extensive view of how internationalization can serve to improve business results.

Nexus Geographics, which in the year 2013 exported 15% of its turnover to foreign markets, has participated in this edition, written by David Coromina, telling and sharing their experience in this process.
